This month our society met up at the historic Cortez Hotel in Weslaco for our monthly lunch and meeting. We all enjoyed a
wonderful traditional south Texan lunch. Afterwards we had a brief society meeting covering membership and up coming meetings.
We then all proceeded to the Fontera Audubon Society where we were hosted by Wayne Bartholomew. Here we visited two large Sabal
Mexicana's (one being a Texas State Sabal Co-Champion) that were recently saved and transplanted to this location. The society had
a small part in this effort as we supported in financially. Enjoy the pictures below.
Our next meeting will be in BayView in Feb. Look forward to seeing you at one of the up coming meetings.
