This month we had the pleasure of having a our meeting in the Houston area, at Jerry's Jungle. Jerry and his family (& friends) put on a fantastic luau style meeting.
As members arrived they signed the guest book and were given a raffle ticket for the prize give away. Members had ample time to socialize and tour the extensive
garden prior to lunch being served. Jerry and his family put on a fabulous spread for lunch which included fish, chicken, sausage and assorted side dishes. Everyone
got their fill and there was still dessert to be had...
After lunch we had a short society meeting and then we all enjoyed traditional Hawaiian dancing. After the
entertaining dance, the raffle was held and Jerry surprised everyone when it was found out that every raffle ticket would win a prize. Members were given the opportunity to
choose a plant when their raffle ticket was called. The afternoon ended with members socializing a bit more and enjoying the perfect weather.
Our next meeting will be in San Benito on 14 Nov 09 . Look forward to seeing you at one of the up coming meetings.
